The former co-chair of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), Hecî Ehmedî (84), passed away in Cologne after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Originally from Urmia, Ehmedî was one of the key figures who played a leading role in the founding of PJAK in 2003.
Having lived in Germany for over 40 years, he was a well-known political figure in the Kurdistan freedom movement.
His political journey began with the Kurdish Students' Union in Europe and continued with leadership roles in institutions such as the Kurdistan Parliament in Exile, the co-chairmanship of PJAK, and the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK). Through his efforts, Ehmedî made significant contributions to the unity of the Kurdish nation.
