HEDEP salutes the victory of humanity over the darkness of ISIS in Kobane

“We will never give up our solidarity with the peoples of Rojava, where a common and democratic life is growing,” said the Co-Chairs of HEDEP.

The Co-Chairs of HEDEP (Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party), Tülay Hatımoğulları Oruç and Tuncer Bakırhan, released a statement saluting the 9th anniversary of the victory of humanity over the darkness of DAESH (ISIS) in Kobane.

The Co-Chairs of HEDEP pointed out that: “The government of Turkey and its politicized courts seek revenge against the common struggle that achieved, in Kobane, the victory of enlightenment. We once more promise to our comrades who are on trial in the Kobane Case that we will strengthen our struggle.”

The statement continued: “We know that the current attacks against the soul of North and East Syria aim to end what DAESH could not.  We will never give up our solidarity with the peoples of Rojava, where a common and democratic life is growing.”

The Co-Chairs of HEDEP underlined that: “Both the Kobane resistance and internationalist solidarity are brightening our present and our future. Let 1 November, World Kobane Day, be a source of joy and encouragement for all Kurdish people and all oppressed peoples around the world.”
