HPG Media Center stated that 1 soldier and 5 police officers were killed during recent guerilla actions. HPG said: “These attacks that continue under Erdoğan’s and his state’s dictate and aim to annihilate our people increase every day and fascism wages an unbridled tyranny. The special war media has been spending their efforts on obscuring and presenting a distorted view of these actions carried out as retaliation against all these attacks.”

Details on the actions carried out by the metropolitan units are as follows:

“On October 29, an action was carried out on a civilian looking military vehicle in Antalya’s Alanya district. As a result of the action, 1 army official was killed, 1 major and 1 army official was wounded. The special war media has presented this incident as an accident and has tried to obscure the action carried out by our units.

By early November, an action was carried out in close range against security units in motion in the forest area in Antalya’s Kemer district. In the ensuing clashes, the forest area caught fire and the number of casualties couldn’t be determined.

On November 16, in Antalya city center Hurma neighborhood, an action was carried out on a bank ATM. The first responder units who came to the action grounds were also hit effectively and 5 police officers were killed there. In the ensuing clashes our comrade Rojvan fell martyr.

Comrade Rojvan, nurtured and shaped by the deep patriotism, has felt the sensitivity of the period and prepared himself for the hardest fields of duty with the same awareness and sensitivity when he joined the struggle. He prepared during 2015 and 2016 to wage an effective struggle against the Turkish state attacks in the metropolitan areas, and fell martyr in his war against the enemy waged with great courage on November 16.
