HPG (People's Defense Forces) Sinjar Command has said in a written statement that ISIS gangs had carried out an attack on the village of Xiriko in Sinjar on 27 November night.

The statement said clashes broke out as HPG, YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) and MLKP (Marxist Leninist Communist Party) guerrillas immediately responded to the attack. Six members of the ISIS gangs were killed and large quantities of ammunition belonging to them were seized in the fighting that continued till the morning.
