HPG (People's Defense Forces) Sinjar Command has relased a statement providing the details of an operation launched by HPG, YJA-Star and Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS) fighters in Bare area of Sinjar on 13 November.

HPG Sinjar Command stated that the Bare area, which involves three villages, and the surrounding hills, has been cleansed of ISIS gangs as result of the operation.

According to the statement, over 10 members of the gangs were killed and many others wounded in the operation after which the Bare-Shilo road was also closed to the use of gangs, and large amounts of ammunition belonging to them were seized.

Referring to reports that the mentioned operation is being carried out by the peshmerga, HPG Sinjar Command said that these were unethical reports not reflecting the truth.

HPG pointed out that the peshmerga forces have been involved in no action in Sinjar region, recalling that the HPG Sinjar Command had as of 3 August made a call for joint military command and actions which -it added- however didn't take place so far.
