HPG claims responsibility for the action against police in Mersin

People’s Defence Forces (HPG) claimed responsibility for the October 17 attack against a service vehicle that carried Turkish policemen in Mersin.

HPG said a group of guerrillas carried out an action against a shuttle service that carried Turkish policemen in Mersin on October 17. 

HPG Press and Communication Centre said that 10 Turkish policemen were killed and 19 were wounded in the attack.

HPG also said that the group that carried out the attack returned to their bases without any casualties.

An explosion hit a police shuttle in central Mersin’s Okan Merzeci Boulevard on October 17. Turkish media claimed 12 policemen were wounded.
