HPG claimed responsibility for the action that hit a military target in Istanbul on May 12.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) has released a statement claiming responsibility for the action that hit a military target in Istanbul on May 12.

Accordingly, a military shuttle on move near the Samandıra Barracks and Army Aviation Regimental Command in Istanbul's Sancaktepe district was hit by a car bomb in a sabotage action by guerrillas at 16:45 on May 12.

HPG reported that 9 soldiers, many of whom are high-ranking, got wounded as a result of the guerrilla action, while the death toll couldn't be verified.
