HPG guerrillas attack two military posts in Dersim
Yüceldi and Çiçekli military posts in the province of Dersim were attacked by People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas late Tuesday evening.
Clashes broke out between Turkish soldiers and Kurdish guerrillas following the attack on Yüceli post which is located in the rural area of Hozat district in the province of Dersim. Turkish helicopters started to bomb the forested areas in the region after the attack.
The second guerrilla attack was carried out on Çiçekli post at around 17:30 local time. Fire broke out in several forested lands as Turkish army dropped bombs at randoms after the attack in which Kurdish guerrillas used rockets and heavy weapons.
No reports have yet been received as to number of casualties in the attacks.
