HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Centre has reported in a written statement that the operation in Jalawla and Sadiye towns in South Kurdistan has been successfully concluded.

HPG stated that many locations have been taken under control by the guerrilla and peshmerga forces that conducted a joint operation against the ISIS gangs in Jalawla and Sadiye towns in Xaneqin district of Kirkuk on 23 November.

The statement said that ISIS gangs suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat as result of the joint operation participated by HPG and YJA Star guerrillas affiliated to the HPG Maxmur and Kirkuk Area Commands.

HPG Press Centre added that the areas liberated in the operation were handed to peshmerga forces following the withdrawal of guerrilla forces back to the headquarters affiliated to the HPG Command.
