In a statement on the Turkish army operation in the Dersim area, People’s Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM called on Turkish authorities to end the operation they are carrying out immediately as it put the safety of CHP deputy Hüseyin Aygün at risk.

HPG-BIM stated that the operation launched following the detention, last Sunday, of Republican People’s Party (CHP) deputy Hüseyin Aygün by Kurdish guerrillas is still going on, thus denying the Turkish army's statement which claimed the operation was stopped.

HPG-BIM said that Turkish helicopters are dropping bombs at randoms and unmanned air vehicles are flying over the operation area.
