A huge blast has occurred near the Governor's Office and Police Directorate in the province of Antep.

A number of police teams and ambulances have been dispatched to the scene of the blast which was felt across the whole city.

Initial reports say that the blast occurred after detonation of a bomb-laden vehicle at the main entrance gate of the Police Directorate.

Eyewitnesses say a clash erupted after the explosion and many policemen were rushed to hospitals with ambulances.
