Kurds and their friends continue their protests all around the world to express their solidarity with the thousands of political prisoners and dozens of activists who are on indefinite hunger strike or death fast demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Thousands of Kurds have gathered in the German city of Dusseldorf today to draw attention to the hunger strike and death fast actions.

The first group of demonstrators gathered at Dusseldorf Central Train Station and the other in front of Dusseldorf State Parliament.

As part of the demonstration, which began with a minute of silence, the two groups will form a human chain and meet in front of the Parliament building.

Demonstrators saluted the mothers of hunger strike and death fast activists in prisons who are resisting the attacks of Turkish state forces on the streets every day.

With the photos of hunger strikers in their hands, demonstrators chanted “Bijî berxwedana zindane" [Long live the prison resistance] and "Bijî Serok Apo” [Long live Leader Öcalan].

German police attacked the mass citing a small photograph of Abdullah Öcalan. Three people were taken into custody and a mother was battered in the crackdown.
