Following these solidarity visits, two HDP deputies, Selma Irmak and Sebahat Tuncel, and PYD representative in Europe, Ruhat Kobane, held a meeting with representatives from the Russian Embassy in Geneva.

The HDP deputies told the Russian officials that all the international powers must actively take an initiative in the face of the urgency of the situation caused by the attacks of ISIS, while Russian officials said they had prepared a dossier about the situation.

PYD representative Kobane said they are the only force fighting against the ISIS in the Middle East and called for support for Rojava from Russia. The officials of the embassy said they would convey the dossier they had prepared to Russia as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the representatives of the International Kurdish Women’s Movement held a meeting with some deputies in the Swiss parliament in order to give information about the current situation in Kobane. The Swiss parliamentarians asked to have the HDP deputies in the Swiss parliament. The HDP deputies are expected to pay a visit to the Swiss parliament in the coming days.
