Hunger strike in Duisburg on day 48

Mustafa Tuzak has been on hunger strike in Duisburg for 48 days.

Kurdish activist Mustafa Tuzak has been on hunger strike in the German city of Duicburg for 48 days. He has joined the resistance led by DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven who has gone on hunger strike demanding the end of isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Güven has reached day 114 of her fast.

Tuzak has been visited by many people and is under regular medical monitor.The visitors who expressed their support include dozens of Kurds, KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) Co-chair Nilüfer Koç, KCDK-E (Democratic Kurdish Society Congress in Europe) Co-chair Fatoş Göksungur, journalist Ferda Çetin.

The hunger strike is being carried out in the Duisburg Democratic Kurdish Community Centre.

Tuzak reiterated to all visitors that he is determined to continue his hunger strike until isolation is lifted.
