The hunger strike started by Kurdish activist Yusuf Iba in Toronto, Canada, continues on the 16th day.

Like hundreds around Europe, Kurdistan and Turkey he is fasting to support HDP Hakkari MP, Leyla Güven, and her demand to put an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Güven’s hunger strike is on day 82.

Yusuf Iba is from Bazid, Agri, and is a political refugee who has sought refuge in Canada after Turkish State courts sentenced him to several years in prison.

Scores of people are visiting the Kurdish hunger striker Iba every day and expressing their solidarity with his action.
