Both hunger strikers called on people to join the march “Live against isolation” in Vienna on Saturday (16 March).

“Hunger strikers in prison - said Yiğit and Ağaoğlu - in Turkey and Kurdistan joined Leyla Güven’s action and are on the threshold of death. The hunger strike both in prison and outside has reached a critical stage. Both the fascist AKP-MHP power and the European states, which are their accomplices, are keeping silence.

If we do not want our precious revolutionary, democrat and patriotic people to lose their lives, we must claim their action and join all organized activities. Resistance keeps alive, while silence kills.”

The 16 March march is organised to mark the 31st anniversary of the Halabja massacre and will be supported by the hunger strikers.
