The international conspiracy was condemned in the Canadian city of Toronto. Kurdish hunger striker Yusuf Iba also joined the demonstration and said: “They believed that the Kurdish people and their freedom struggle will be weakened after the conspiracy. Yet their dreams were doomed to failure.”

The February 15 conspiracy against the Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Ocalan, was in during a demonstration in Toronto, Canada.

Yusuf Iba who is on day 38 of an indefinite hunger strike to support the DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Guven’s demand for an end to the isolation of Öcalan, also participated in the demonstration.

Iba started an individual march from the Kurdish Center in Toronto, and joined the demonstrators at Bloor–Yonge station before continuing to march to the City Hall.

The crowd raised posters of Abdullah Ocalan and Kurdish hunger strikers, and marched several kilometers despite the cold weather.

‘Not discouraged, we are furious!’

Iba spoke at the rally and said: “The conspiratorial forces wished to silence the Kurdish people and their freedom struggle with the arrest of Mr. Ocalan. Yet the Kurdish people stand strong and demand their rights around the world today. That is a piece of clear evidence that the conspiracy has failed. The Kurdish people believe in the ideas of Abdullah Ocalan and continue to resist, and here you can see that hundreds of people have taken to the street regardless of the cold weather. Without forgetting the conspiracy, the Kurdish people have turned their anger into actions and resistance. It is those who worked with ISIS and brought troubles to the world that must be upset. Yet they are expanding their attacks as ISIS is about to be defeated. We will live on, we will defeat the conspiracy and all participant forces.”
