Human Rights Association (İHD) Diyarbakır Branch will be organizing a workshop on 18-19 May as part of the project it has launched for the victims of disappearances in custody, unsolved murders and mass graves in the Kurdish region of Turkey.

The workshop will be attended by professional academics, intellectuals, journalists, writers and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

The workshop which aims to put emphasis on the importance of "facing the past" will witness debates on the ways and methods for the disclosure of the fate of disappeared people and mass graves.

The results of the debates will be declared in a written statement in the last day of the workshop.
