ILPS prepares 'Kurdistan Solidarity Month' in the Philippines

The The International League of Peoples' Struggle (ILPS), which includes many anti-imperialist and democratic movements around the world, said it will organise a full month of activities as part of the “Stop isolation, fascism and occupation! Freedom for Öcalan! Freedom for Kurdistan!" campaign.
Many online or physical activities will be included in what has been labelled as "Global Solidarity Month with Kurdistan." All activities will start on November 1.
Among these are online seminars on many topics such as isolation against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Turkish occupation of Rojava, Kurdish Women's Movement, solidarity with the Kurdish Freedom Movement in Europe.
On November 1, activities will begin with cultural events part of the World Kobanê Day.
Describing the program, the statement asked parties and movements from dozens of countries within the ILPS to support the protests with online or physical participation, as well as the seminars to be held during Global Kurdistan Solidarity Month.
In addition, all components were asked to collect signatures for the freedom of the Kurdish people's leader and send them to the relevant authorities. A call was made to publish online video messages of solidarity with Kurdistan.
In the statement it was also emphasized that the ILPS would be in militant solidarity against the fascist repression and occupation of the Turkish state in Kurdistan.
The statement, calling for the immediate freedom of the Kurdish people's leader, underlined that the occupation in Kurdish and Arab settlements in Northern and Eastern Syria should end immediately.
Finally, the statement said that the main discussion topics of the seminars and meetings within the scope of the Month of Solidarity with Global Kurdistan will focus on the role of the imperialist powers as well as the occupation.
