Imam Şiş: 143 days on hunger strike

The activist from Newport has been experiencing several health problems in recent days.

Imam Şiş has been on hunger strike for 143 days in Newport, Wales, demanding the end of isolation said he will continue his fast until isolation is lifted.

Imam Şiş, while recognising the visit granted to lawyers to Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is a very big step and success, confirmed that it falls short of ending isolation which is the demand of the hunger strikers. 

The activist from Newport has been experiencing several health problems in recent days, yet he confirmed his determination to go on with the fast. Şiş is receiving support from many sectors of Welsh civil society as well as political representatives.
