Members of the Academy of Martyr Ismail Abu Hussein in Manbij issued a written statement condemning the international plot on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan on the 19th anniversary of the plot that started with his forced departure from Syria.
The statement was read by a member of the academy, Idres Khalil, in front of the HQ of the academy with the attendance of dozens of its members.
The statement included:
"In the name of the Academy of Martyr Ismail in Manbij, we condemn the international conspiracy against the leader of the Kurdish people and architect of the democratic nation idea, Abdullah Öcalan. We say to those countries who were involved in this conspiracy that they have made a mistake by kidnapping the leader because he has created thousands of leaders and nobody can restrict this thought and concept which is based on the co-existence and brotherhood and is the salvation for all components and peoples. For this reason, we say no to the international conspiracy against this leader who represents every human being and brought all peoples together based on the concept of the democratic civilization.
Long live brotherhood among peoples!
Long live leader Apo!
Freedom for Öcalan!"
The statement ended with slogans demanding justice and freedom for the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
