Organisations and groups all over the world are preparing activities and actions for Freedom For Abdullah Öcalan World Day on 10 October.
Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, the founder of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), leader and philosopher for the Kurdish and Middle Eastern people and creator of the Paradigm of a Democratic, Ecological Society and Freedom of Women is still being held hostage on Imrali Prison Island by the Turkish Fascist State.
The Internationalist Commune of Rojava said in a statement it will join Freedom For Abdullah Öcalan World Day on 10 October.
The statement recalled that "the 22 years have passed since the International conspiracy against him started with him having to leave Syria on 9th October 1998. In the result of a month long tour through different countries, Abdullah Öcalan was abducted from the Greek Embassy in Nairobi and brought to Imrali by a joint international intelligence operation on 15th February 1999."
The Internationalist Commune wrote: "The revolution in Rojava and the struggle in Kurdistan for freedom and against fascism is what inspires us today all over the world. It is the ideas, writings, teachings and decade long struggle and effort of Öcalan that have made possible this revolution in the 21st century, and this is how we were able to regain a strong hope and belief for a better world. This is the reason why we are today able to learn from the revolution in Kurdistan and find perspectives for the problems and struggles in our countries all over world."
The Commune added: "Together we will end the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and of the Kurdish people! Together we will rise up against fascism and defend the revolution internationally!"
