Make Rojava Green Again publishes new report on Turkish bombing of Rojava

Make Rojava Green Again has published a new report on Turkey's bombing of Rojava.

Since 20 November, the Turkish state has been attacking the region of northeast Syria with massive bombings by war planes, drones and artillery.

Make Rojava Green Again writes: "For more than a decade, Turkey has waged a low-intensity war against humans and nature by cutting off water, through massive deforestation in the regions it occupies and by many other means."

One month ago, the attacks reached a new peak. Viyan Agirî, spokesperson of Make Rojava Green Again, stated: “Civilians as well as civilian infrastructure all over the region are targeted by the Turkish airforce. In the first phase of this new war, which is estimated to escalate even more, the economic infrastructure of northeast Syria in particular has been bombed. With this method, the Turkish government is destroying
livelihoods, forcing people to flee and is thus preparing for a new ground invasion  that it has already announced. The Turkish state has been using this tactic already when occupying Afrin in 2018 and Serekaniye and Gire Spi in 2019.”

The Commune has published a new dossier providing "details about Turkey’s latest
attacks and their impacts on the region’s economy."
