Internationalist activists in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria want to put the war crimes of the Turkish state in Kurdistan on the public agenda with a campaign on Twitter. The call for the campaign states the following:
Five girls play volleyball in front of an educational institution. The next moment, they are murdered by a Turkish drone. Turkey's war crimes in northeastern Syria and South Kurdistan cry out in injustice, but international silence drowns this out.
In over 80 targeted drone strikes so far this year, Turkey is aiming at the population, civilians, politicians, security forces, as well as those who a few years ago were hailed internationally as heroes in the fight against the so-called Islamic State- commanders and fighters of the people's protection units YPJ and YPG.
The drone attacks throughout Rojava and the countless crimes against the residents of the areas occupied by Turkey can only be stopped by breaking the murderous silence that prevails over them and by supporting the people in their resistance.
In the mountains of northern Kurdistan occupied by Turkey for almost 100 years, Turkish forces are reportedly using chemical weapons to drive out the resisting Kurdish people struggling for recognition and basic human rights. Turkey draws a trail of blood from Turkey, through Kurdistan, Armenia and into Libya.
In every possible way, in every place, we must expose Turkey's crimes and ask why the states and media remain silent when bombs fall on schools or internationally banned toxic gases are used against human beings.
With this campaign, we call for loud, creative protest that brings the message to the public everywhere: We will not be silent when people are killed, we will not continue to tolerate the silence about Turkish war crimes: #YourSilenceKills - silence about Turkish war crimes kills.
On October 23 at 20:00 CEST we storm the web & call to stop Turkish war crimes.

Suggestions for action and tweets
"It is important not to use the campaign hashtag before the actual start of the action," the Internationalists stress. On their website, the group has deposited various action proposals and tweets that can be shared there with just one click and are aimed directly at well-known personalities.
