The wall Turkey will build on its border with Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) has pleased Iran.
Speaking at a press conference, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Behram Qasimî said the followings in response to a question regarding Turkey's planned wall at the border: “We will welcome every step that will increase security and stability at the border. Border security is of importance for both Iran and Turkey.”
Qasimî' stated that Turkey got Iran's permission for the building of the wall which -he said- will be constructed in the Turkish soil but not at zero point.
In the first phase of the project, the Turkish state is expected to build a 140-km wall on Iğdır and Ağrı border.
The wall Turkey has recently built on Rojava-Northern Kurdistan border was constructed through an invasion of the Rojava soil.
Turkey previously built a 700 km wall on Rojava border.
