After Iraq paid the debts to the Iranian government, electricity supply started again.
Iranian Energy Minister Riza Erdkanyan said that they have begun to sell electricity to Iraq again.
Iran had stopped supplies at the beginning of July, as Iraq had not paid several oustanding debts.
Minister Erdkanyan said that as soon as payments from Iraq started to be met again Iran had once again begun supplying the country.
The electricity cuts had caused weeks of unrest in Iraq as protests against the government increased.
