Iraq: Turkey's attacks violate Iraq’s sovereignty

Regarding Turkey’s increasingly ongoing attacks on northern Iraq, Iraqi Prime Ministry Office Spokesman Said Hadisi said; “This is a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and is unacceptable.”

Iraqi Prime Ministry Office Spokesman Said Hadisi made a statement about the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against South Kurdistan.

Hadisi said Baghdad’s stand towards Turkey entering Iraqi land was clear, adding; “Baghdad considers it a right to protect its sovereignty. Without the consent of the Iraqi government, Turkey bombs Kurdistan Region and deploys troops in the region pointing the presence of PKK bases as an excuse. This is a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and is unacceptable.”

Hadisi pointed out that; “The presence of the Turkish army in Kurdistan Region makes things more complicated. We cannot close our eyes to the Turkish army.”
