The Iraqi army's Joint Command of Operations has denied reports regarding the participation of Turkish troops in the Mosul operation.

According to AFP, the Joint Command of Operations Spokesman stated that no Turkish elements were involved in the operations to liberate Mosul.

Turkey claimed yesterday that their troops in Bashiqa Camp were supporting the peshmerga forces in the Mosul offensive, and that these hit the ISIS targets around Mosul with artillery fire.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, whom journalists asked if there would be an offensive on Mosul during the coming days, stated that this was already being done at the moment.
