Iraqi Parliament session postponed

The Session didn't reach a qualified majority.

The Iraqi parliament meeting scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed to Friday due to the recounting of votes and the lack of a sufficient majority.

The parliament was convened to extend the current parliament life which ends on 30 June.

The Iraqi parliament will reconvene on Friday, at 4 pm Iraq time, in the hope the qualified majority is reached.

The extension of the old parliament life is disturbing many sectors. The elections were held on 12 May but were marked by fraud and irregularities.
