The Iraqi Prime Minister made evaluations on the recent crisis with Turkey during a meeting with foreign mission chiefs and ambassadors in Baghdad last night.

Al-Abadi pointed out that they had warned Ankara against the violation of Iraqi sovereignty, saying: “We did not allow the presence of Turkish troops on Iraqi land officially. We asked them to respect the Iraqi sovereignty and withdraw their troops immediately. The ongoing presence of Turkish military in the region will harm the historical relations of the two countries.”
