As clashes continue in Nazlad Shehade neighbourhood south of Raqqa, a SDF unit of 12 fighters went into action to rescue the civilians fleeing ISIS gangs.

SDF fighters had just taken the children from their mothers into their arms to quicken the rescue operation when ISIS gangs targeted them with a bomb-laden vehicle. The gangs concurrently detonated several mines at the scene.

2 SDF fighters fell martyrs and 4 children in their arms lost their lives as result of the attack which also left 8 SDF fighters and 7 civilians wounded.

SDF units mobilized to retrieve the wounded civilians from the scene.
