ISIS has committed a massacre in the Iraqi governorate of Diyala. Jihadists stormed a house in Shereban and murdered five members of the same family. Among the murdered are women and children.

ISIS is particularly active in the Diyala governorate in the south of Kirkuk, which is administratively disputed between Southern Kurdistan and Iraq.

A few weeks ago, an ISIS cell abducted two brothers from the Kurdish village of Samud near Kirkuk. Shortly afterwards, a photo of a beheading in Til Afer near Mosul was published by Islamists. Near Diyala, a policeman was injured in an ISIS attack.
