After facing with major faults in their defense lines, losing two strategic towns and dozens of villages to the south and southwest of Mosul, ISIS gangs have retreated seven villages of Maxmur last midnight.
Military sources on the ground report that ISIS groups are making reinforcements in Sultan Abdullah village after withdrawing their forces from the villages of Mêkuk, Seydawe, Xebate, Xinêsat, Xalîdiye, Sellaḧye and Zenawêr.
On the fourth day of the Mosul operation, Iraqi army and special forces affiliated to the federal police are making advances mainly on the southern and southeastern fronts while the western front is witnessing sporadic clashes.
On the northern front, the villages of Naveran, Barime and Batne were taken from ISIS as a result of attacks launched at midnight.
The village of Batnaya was also taken under control by the operational forces advancing on the southern side.
