ISIS tortured Kurdish civilian to death, abducted ten others

Sixty year old Kurdish civilian Ehmed Eli, member of the Committee for peace and dialogue in Rakka city, was tortured to death after he was kidnapped by al-Qaeda linked ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham).

Eli was among the dozens of Kurdish civilians kidnapped by al-Qaeda affiliated groups three days ago.

The body of Eli, who reportedly died on 7 December, was delivered to his relatives after he died, and buried in a cemetery in the Bexdik village of Tal Abyad (Girê Spî).

Gang groups have increased their attacks against civilians in recent weeks during which they have suffered heavy defeats in clashes with YPG (People's Defense Units) fighters.

On 7 December, ISIS had launched another attack targeting the Cib El-Ferec village, which is located 30 km south of Kobanê, where one villager was killed and some members of the same family were kidnapped by gang groups.

Al-Qaeda affiliated groups are also trying to cut off water supply in the Al Siyox village and to leave the people here without water.

Reports obtained from local sources say that gang groups attacked the Kurdish neighborhoods in Cerablus region of Aleppo province on Sunday evening. Gang groups reportedly abducted many civilians who included women and children as well. The names of ten among them are; Mistefa Mihemed (45), Basil Osê (20), Nasan Nebî (60), Ehmed Nasan Nebî (27), Setûf Birkil Ebas (25), Nadya Bilal (15), Şikrî Elo (45), Semira Elo, Reşad Silo (40), Hemik Mistefa (37), Mehmûd Mistefa Ebas (50).

The attacks on Kurdish neighborhoods in Cerablus region are reported to be continuing.

On 4 December, ISIS and the al-Nusra Front attacked the village of Minbci between Kobanê (Ayn al-Arab) and Jarablus, taking hostage dozens of civilians, women and children amongst them, also looting houses belonging to Kurds in Minbic and surrounding villages. Armed gangs have also set up a road block on the road between Kobanê and Jarablus, abducting more than 50 Kurdish civilians from vehicles.
