Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham attacks civilians in Rojava

The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) is continuing attacks on civilians in Rojava.

While the names of 26 of the civilians abducted from Minbic village by armed groups from the (ISIS), affiliated to Al-Qaeda, are known, there is no information regarding the fate of 5 girls abducted from a primary school in the same village. ISIS gangs have also abducted 6 people from Tebqa district of Reqa (al-Raqqah) and 5 Kurdish civilians returning to their homes from South Kurdistan.

It is reported that gangs have taken control of the Cizire (Jazira) international transit road between Aleppo and Kobanê near Minbic, looting vehicles and taking Kurdish travellers hostage.

The identities of dozens of Kurdish civilians abducted from Bale village, 7 kilometres to the west of Minbic are still not known.
