Italian internationalists demonstrate in solidarity with Rojava and the guerrilla

Those standing in solidarity with Rojava have taken to the streets to express their solidarity with the people and fighting forces on the tenth anniversary of the start of the revolution.

Internationalist youth in Italy staged demonstrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the 19 July Rojava Revolution and to protest the Turkish state’s invasion threats against North-East Syria and violent attacks against guerrilla forces in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

During two separate demonstrations in Catania and Palermo on 19 July, internationalists celebrated the Rojava Revolution and sent their greetings to those fighting there.

The activists, accompanied by the Sicilian organization Antudo, also hung banners on the consulates of Sweden and Finland in protest at the Turkish attacks against Medya Defense Zones where the Turkish forces resort to inhuman methods including the use of chemical agents and other banned weapons.
