The Municipality of Livorno city in Italy has presented a letter of thanks to the non-governmental organizations that have provided support for the homeless, the elderly and those in need during the pandemic.
In this scope, Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê) also received a letter of thanks. The document was presented to Heyva Sor Italy branch officials by the Mayor of Livorno, Luca Salvetti and Councilor Andrea Raspanti.
Speaking at the ceremony, Heyva Sor official said: “Italy and many other countries have provided aid and support during the pandemic. The children accommodated in the Shehba camp sent their solidarity message to Italy. The coronavirus is spreading in Rojava (Northern Syria) which needs support at the moment. We call upon Italy not to leave Rojava alone in this challenging times.”
