Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Þýrnak MP Faysal Sarýyýldýz in Diyarbakýr D Type Prison has started a hunger strike in support to that of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Party (PAJK) prisoners. BDP deputy is reported to be on a hunger strike for the last three days.
“I couldn’t remain silent in this process when the brave and revolutionary children of the Kurdish people are challenging to death more and more every passing day. I am calling on the authorities of the Turkish government that the responsibility of any potential deaths in the strikes will belong to the government, the Prime Minister in particular and to all those remaining silent in the face of this resistance”, said Sarýyýldýz through his counselor to announce his strike.
Evaluating it as a moral and conscientious responsibility to own the resistance in prisons, Sarýyýldýz said that he will display his reaction against the immoral and conflict-deepening policy against the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
