The Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) has ruled to protect the right to a fair trial for former FARC commander Jesús Santrich. The ruling says there is no cause for his extradition to the US and orders his immediate release from prison.
Former FARC commander and an executive member of the new FARC party, Jesús Santrich, was framed by the Attorney General Nestor Humberto Martinez over a year ago, over fake charges.
Martinez actually resigned the same day of the JEP ruling.
