'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' uprising continues in Iran and East Kurdistan

Despite killings, arrests, violence and executions, the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' uprising continues unremittingly in Iran and East Kurdistan.

Rage against the Iranian regime is increasing gradually as protestors mourn for people who have been killed by the regime forces since the protests first erupted after the murder of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Jina Mahsa Amini in the custody of the so-called morality police 100 days ago.

Yesterday (Dec. 27) commemorations were held in the cities of Mahamad, Bokan and Bane for protestors 40 days after they were murdered by the Iranian regime. Hundreds of people gathered in the city of Mahamad to commemorate Azad Hisên Pur, Mihemed, Ehmed, Galgeş and Kemal Ehmedpur. The crowd frequently chanted anti-regime slogans.

A ceremony was held with the participation of hundreds of people in Bokan to commemorate Hiwa Cancan 40 days after he was murdered by the Iranian regime. Slogans were chanted for martyrs during the ceremony.

Relatives of Aso Qadirê who was killed during the protests in the city of Bane visited the grave of their beloved one and placed flowers.

Yesterday, commemorations for Ayal Heqî and Elî Êraq turned into a protest in the city of Tabriz. Another commemoration was held for Hemid Reza Ruh in Tehran 40 days after he was murdered.

According to the latest data from the Iran Human Rights organization, at least 476 people, including 64 children and 34 women, have been killed by security forces in the current nationwide protests.

Furthermore, at least 100 protesters are currently at risk of execution, death penalty charges or sentences. This is a minimum, as most families are under pressure to stay quiet. The real number is believed to be much higher.
