Journalist Ferhat Parlak has been taken into custody and beaten by gendarmeries on Saturday on Silvan-Batman main road where he went to follow the developments concerning reports on the discovery of a bomb.

Parlak, the Chief Editor of the local Silvan Mücadele paper, called his office and said that he worried about his life.

Parlak said that he was taken into custody despite not crossing the security line at the scene and noted that his camera and photograph machine were also seized by gendarmeries. Parlak was taken to the gendarmerie post in Silvan.
