The 9th hearing of the Ankara massacre case was held at the Ankara 4th High Criminal Court on Wednesday.
Families of those killed in the massacre of October 10 and the ‘October 10 Ankara Massacre Case Lawyers' Commission’, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), Republican People's Party (CHP) deputies, independent deputy Ahmet Şık, Workers Party of Turkey (TIP) president Erkan Baş, Labor Party (EMEP) head Ercüment Akdeniz and many people from different non-governmental organizations attended the hearing.
Statement of Büşra Şahin as a witness caused a dispute between the families of the victims and the presiding judge. As lawyers of the victims’ families directed questions at witness Şahin, her lawyer told his client "You do not have to answer". The response of the families was "We came here for justice. The lawyer should not object".
REACTION TO THE PRESIDING JUDGE
During the row, the presiding judge asked the families to leave the court. “We came for our children, for justice. You are judging us, not them”, the families reacted.
The presiding judge left the courtroom following the row.
