Pelin Kahiloğulları, a member of the board of the Social Freedom Party, said that peace in the Middle East will only be possible if people struggle together.
Following the guerrilla action in Ankara, the Turkish state openly announced that it would commit war crimes, and launched an attack on Northern and Eastern Syria. Attacks targeting civilian living spaces and infrastructure continue.
Speaking to ANF, Social Freedom Party (TÖP) board member, Pelin Kahiloğulları, said that “the AKP-MHP alliance has stepped up its attacks after the elections it won illegitimately. The appointment of MIT President Hakan Fidan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs showed that they would escalate the war both inside and outside.”
Noting that there is a process in which the imperialists have begun to turn the entire Middle East into a bloodbath in order to consolidate their own hegemony, Kahiloğulları said: “Peace in the Middle East will only be possible with the common struggle of the peoples. What we must oppose in both Rojava and Palestine are the occupation and war policies."
We side with the oppressed people
TÖP central board member, Hatice Deniz Aktaş, stated that they “support the struggle of the people of Kurdistan and Palestine without any ifs and buts” and added: “The Rojava Revolution has inspired both the Palestinian people and the people of the world. Today's policies of attacking the Rojava Revolution and the Kurdish people are aimed at suffocating this power. We stand with the people oppressed by colonial policies. This is a requirement not only of being a socialist, but also of being a consistent democrat, progressive and intellectual. Oppressed nations should draw strength from each other's struggle and expand this struggle in every field."
