Speaking at a military ceremony which was attended by PKK and HPG (People's Defense Forces) commanders and guerrillas, PKK Executive Council member Murat Karayılan remembered the PKK martyrs and stressed that; "The PKK will grow stronger with further struggle and through democratic and peaceful ways, and its resistance will reach victory in its 36th year".

Remarking that the party has displayed a great resistance and struggled against assimilation and slavery since its foundation, Karayılan noted that this struggle has achieved a mindset revolution and re-created the Kurdistan.

Saluting the Rojava revolution in western Kurdistan, Karayılan said the 36th year of the PKK was a critical phase witnessing a war going on in Rojava Kurdistan and the Middle East, and a process in search of a democratic and peaceful solution to the Kurdish question, led by Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. Karayılan remarked that the Kurdish people in the eastern, western, northern and southern Kurdistan looked to the future with hope today.

Karayılan pointed out that the Kurdish people will be playing their role in order for the achievement of a Middle East revolution and brotherhood among peoples on the basis of principles of democracy and freedom.

PKK executive said the people in Rojava Kurdistan have displayed a brave resistance under the leadership of the YPG (People's Defense Units), and saluted the revolution and the people of Rojava.

"Ahead of us lie democracy and freedom. The resistance of our people will unite with Arab, Turkish, Persian and Assyrian peoples and reach its goal. Today has proved the righteousness of the paradigm of leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). The Kurdish and other peoples in the region need a true leadership, self-defense and freedom guerrillas more than ever" Karayılan added
