Karayılan sends letter to the families of six ARGK guerrillas

People's Defense Forces (HPG) Central Headquarters Commander Murat Karayılan has conveyed his condolences in a letter he sent to the families of six guerrillas of the Kurdistan People's Liberation Army (Artesa Rizgarîya Gelê Kurdîstan, ARGK) who lost their life in Botan between 1994 and 1997. The identities of the six guerrillas, Metin Ceylan, Mehmet Salih Ceylan, Erdal Ceylan, Bedrettin Kaya, Mücahit Kaya and Celal Sezer, have recently been announced by KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Martyrs Committee.

In his letter to Ceylan, Kaya and Sezer families from the village of Konak in Urfa's Birecik district, and Kersan (Fıstıklı) village of Suruç district, Karayılan stressed that it is thanks to brave fighters of the Kurdish movement that their struggle has reached this significant and historic level today.

Karayılan remarked that the Kurdish march led by Haki Karer, Halil Çavgun and Ömer Kayas has been joined by thousands today, and evaluated their participation in this struggle as a noble human approach.

Karayılan thanked Ceylan, Kaya and Sezer families for raising such brave and dignified children and underlined that fighters of the Kurdish struggle will keep their memories alive and render them immortal.

HPG Commander ended his letter with wishes of a free and democratic future.
