In a written statement the KBDH Aynur Ada Militia said: "On 7 November the KBDH Aynur Ada Militia opened fire against police officers at Kapıkulu palace. The police were patrolling the Istanbul Eyüpsultan area.”

The statement added: "Our action was carried out in memory of Aynur Ada, on her first martyrdom anniversary, within the scope of the call for revolutionary mobilization, "Women's Freedom Struggle Will Win, Fascism Will Be Smashed."
