KCDK-E: Attacks by Turkey will not intimidate Kurds

"The attacks by the Turkish state will not intimidate the Kurdish people," said the KCDK-E on the killing of civilians and fires in Kurdistan.

The Kurdish European umbrella organization KCDK-E condemned the killing of civilians and the destruction of nature in Kurdistan by the Turkish state.

In a statement, the association underlined the increasing attacks on the civilian population, particularly in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The KCDK-E said that "the aim of these attacks is the expulsion from Başûrê Kurdistanê (Southern Kurdistan). To achieve this goal, the Turkish state violates Iraqi sovereignty and commits massacres of civilians."

The statement added: “In the last month alone, there have been five attacks on civilians. These massacres are taking place before the eyes of the world. The governments of Iraq and Southern Kurdistan remain silent and close their eyes. In doing so, they silently give their approval for the occupation attacks that are taking place.”

In the past weeks, a car was bombed by a Turkish drone in the district of Pêncwîn near Sulaymaniyah, killing three people from a family from Dihok, said the KCDK-E, adding that "further crimes have been committed by the Turkish state in Turkey-occupied Afrin in Rojava, where more than 200 people have been kidnapped, and forests are being set on fire all over Kurdistan.

The Turkish state is destroying security and stability in the entire region, the statement said: "Without ending the Turkish state's occupation of the region, there will be no stability. All areas where Kurds live are being attacked to carry out genocide. However, the occupation, the attacks and the bombing will not intimidate the Kurdish people.”

The KCDK-E demands attention to the attacks on Kurdistan and the Kurdish people and calls for denouncing the crimes of the Turkish state and using diplomatic channels in all countries.
