KCDK-E calls for protests against the usurpation of Kurdish municipalities

KCDK-E calls on the Kurdish people and their friends to stand by the will of the people and show their democratic reaction against genocidal policies by taking to the streets.

The Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress in Europe (KCDK-E) made a written statement about the usurpation of the DEM Party municipalities of Mardin, Batman and Halfeti through the appointment of trustees by the Turkish Ministry of Interior.

“Today, the Kurdish enemy face of the genocidal Turkish state has been revealed once again. The fascist Turkish state usurped the will of the Kurdish people with a coup against the municipalities of Mardin, Batman and Halfeti,” said the KCDK-E statement, which further included the following:

“The political genocide against Mardin, Batman and Halfeti municipalities this morning clearly means insistence on war policies. We are facing a reality where democratic rights and freedoms are removed, and war policies are imposed on the Kurdish people.

Attempts are being made to force the Kurdish people's demand for democracy back through tyrannical methods. All the prices paid for freedom and democracy and all the hard-won gains are usurped through the implementation of political genocide policies. The aim is to break the will of the Kurdish people by persistently operating colonial law in Kurdistan.

The Kurdish people continue to walk on the path of freedom opened by Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). No fascist policy, no tyranny will be enough to make the Kurdish people step back from their struggle. The usurpation of the municipalities that were won by democratic will is clearly fascism and an enforced domination of isolation.

We call on our people and friends living abroad to stand by the will of our people and show their democratic reaction against genocidal policies by taking to the streets. No effort, no tyranny will be able to prevent the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom. Everyone should clearly see the fact that the rhetoric of Erdoğan and Bahçeli, the bloody dictators of the fascist government, is nothing but a deception.

The struggle must be embraced more decisively by acting on the fact that the heavy isolation of Leader Apo prevails all over Kurdistan and Turkey.”
