KCDK-E: Everyone should go to the polls and vote for the Green Left Party

The European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress called on everyone to “go to the polls in a spirit of mobilization.”

The European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) called for mobilization for the May 14 elections “to end the dictatorship, oppression, denial, massacre and genocide."

The KCDK-E statement released on Wednesday said: “The enemy of the people, Erdogan and the AKP-MHP fascist government, which relies on violence and racism, are about to lose power. We must mobilize to bring the voters to the polling stations abroad until the evening of May 9 in order to overthrow this government, which is hostile to women, children, young people, old people, pensioners, workers and the unemployed. No one should remain neutral. Following the elections, either the dictatorship and genocide will continue, or we will bring about the brotherhood of the peoples with our votes.”

'LET'S MOBILIZE FOR THE ELECTIONS'

The KCDK-E statement continued: "Let's not forget that the unused voting power would serve dictator Erdogan. As the KCDK-E, we reiterate our call: all our community centres, faith institutions, women's and youth organizations and patriots must mobilize for the May 14 elections in order to win a victory.

All our congresses and other events have been postponed until after the 14 May elections. Our priority is the elections and bringing voters to the polls. Therefore, our democratic community centres in all countries, women, youth, faith institutions, election commissions, constituents, journalists, writers, academics, revolutionaries, socialists and anyone who is in favour of democracy and human rights should go to the polls without excuse and urge their neighbours, friends and acquaintances to do the same.

Despite all the genocidal attacks, the enthusiasm of the Green Left Party raises the hopes of the Kurds, peoples, faith groups, women, youth, children and dissidents.

The overthrow of the dictatorship will pave the way for democratization, brotherhood of peoples, equality and freedom.

This is not just a parliamentary election; the stakes are too high. This election is not about electing a new government, but rather about shaping the next 100 years. It is either genocide or a democratic republic.

You should go to the polls for a free and common life of all identities and beliefs.

You should go to the polls for fundamental rights and freedoms.

You should go to the polls to destroy the AKP-MHP fascism.

You should go to the polls for democracy.

You should go to the polls for the democratization and liberation of cultural and social life.

A single vote can change everything!

Your vote could frustrate the dictator's plans!"
