KCDK-E: Let's be in Paris for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla!

The KCDK-E called on people to join the rally to be held on Saturday 11 January in Paris to pay tribute to the three Kurdish women politicians murdered in 2013.

The European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E) Co-presidency Council issued a written statement to mark the anniversary of the murder of the three women politicians in Paris on 9 January 2013.

"Six years have passed since the murder of Kurdish revolutionaries Sakine Cansız (Sara), Fidan Doğan (Rojbin) and Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahi) on 9 January 2013 in Paris. They were murdered professionally by the colonial Turkish state."

The statement added: "The Paris triple murder was aimed at the Kurdish liberation movement and the struggle for women's freedom. The partners of the massacre have so far concealed the facts, prevented their enlightenment and ensured that the shooter died in suspicious circumstances. The fact that France legal system has been cited as one of the best functioning countries and that its intelligence is considered one of the most powerful countries is in contradiction with their silence about this massacre. The French government did not take any concrete steps to enlighten the responsibilities in this murder, on the contrary, it worked to close the file."

The statement continued: "We demand justice and the truth and we demand the responsible of this massacre to be brought to justice."

The KCDK-E said it would be in Paris on 11 January, to join the rally for the three Kurdish revolutionaries.
"Sara, Rojbin and Ronahi are martyrs who fell during the struggle for women's freedom. Their followers are growing and mobilizing in their hundreds of thousands.

As the KCDK-E, we urge all Kurds, revolutionaries, democrats, and all those in favor of women's freedom to join the rally to be held in Paris on 11 January and to demand justice for the three Kurdish revolutionaries."
